How to upload your web site using FTP

The FTP process automatically logs you into your home directory when you log into the server. Since this is not the web directory for the site, site admins and the server's main admin account must change directories to place the content inside the "httpdocs" directory.

We recommend using the latest version of Filezilla which can be downloaded at: http://filezilla-project.org/

If using the Filezilla program these are the settings you would enter to connect to your site:

1) Address (This is where you would put www.yourdomain.com)

2) User (This is where you would enter the username provided by Mexxus

3) Pass (This is where you would enter the password provided by Mexxus

4) Port (Enter 21 in this field)

If for any reason your username and password do not work please make sure that your CAPS key is not ON . If you experience issues connecting please submit a ticket to our support team.
