Add an email account to your iPhone or IPad Print

This article will walk you through setting up your email account on your iPhone. The article was based on iOS 10.3, but should also apply for future versions.

We assume that you have already created your email account in your cPanel, under Email Accounts.

 

1. Go to Settings

2. Tap Mail

3. Tap Accounts

4. Tap Add account

6. Tap Add Mail Account

7. Enter your name, email address, password, and a description for your account, the tap Next

8. Choose IMAP mailbox type

8. Enter the following information in Incoming Mail Server text boxes:

Host Name: enter the domain for the email account preceded by mail. (e.g. mail.yourdomain.com or whatever was provided to you)

User Name: enter your email address (e.g. contact@yourdomain.com)

Password: enter the password for the email account.

Tap Next. Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup. If Mail finds your email settings, tap Done to complete your account setup.

9. Enter the following information in Outgoing Mail Server text boxes:

Host Name: enter the domain for the email account preceded by mail. (e.g. mail.yourdomain.com)

User Name: enter your email address (e.g. contact@yourdomain.com)

Password: enter the password for the email account. (Even if the device has it prefilled or says optional you must put the password)

10. Tap Next then Save to complete the account setup process
